Bantwal: St Thomas feast celebrated at Nirkan-Vogga

Bntwal, Jul 3: The faithful of St Thomas the Apostle Church, Nirkan-Vogga, gathered in great devotion, on Thursday, July 3 to celebrate the feast of their patron, St Thomas the Apostle. The solemn eucharistic celebration was held at 9 AM and was presided over by Fr Victor D’Souza, vicar forane of Bantwal Deanery and parish priest of Modankap Church.

The Holy Mass was concelebrated by Fr Anil Roshan Lobo, Fr Michael D’Souza, Fr Theodore (Pallottine), and Fr Kiran Maxim Pinto, adding spiritual depth and richness to the celebration.

In his homily, Fr Victor reflected on the deep faith and missionary zeal of St Thomas, the Apostle of India, encouraging the congregation to live out their faith with courage and conviction in today’s world. The liturgy was spiritually uplifting, accompanied by melodious choir singing and active participation from the parishioners.

After the Mass, Fr Victor D’Souza was felicitated by the parish priest and vice president of PPC for his presence. He was also wished well in his pastoral duties and future mission.

Refreshments were served to all gathered, fostering a spirit of fellowship and unity among the faithful.
