Kundapur: Thief caught red-handed on CCTV live stream, arrested

Kundapur, Jun 22: A thief was apprehended in the act of stealing, thanks to a live CCTV camera feed at Hosadu, within the jurisdiction of the Gangolli police station.

The arrested accused is identified as Prakash Babu alias Niyas.

The thief broke into the Hosadu Agricultural Cooperative Society office around 1:45 AM on June 22 by forcing open a window. The cooperative society has a live monitoring contract with Koteshwara Sign-In cc camera live monitoring company. Staff from the monitoring company spotted the thief entering the office in real-time and promptly alerted the police.

The authorities arrived at the scene within 10 minutes and caught the thief, who is of Kerala origin, red-handed.

The Gangolli police have registered a case and are conducting further investigations.

    bahu paraak lord siddaraya...all people are inspired after Sidda took over the power...now thieves are caught during stealing...kya kamaal hai..earllier during chaddi rule thieves were allowed to steal and then just nagpur gulams used to make some noise...now even khaki is tight..jug jug jiyo beeja raya

    Inflation is there but unemployment? There is a scarcity of labour in DK and people are offering anywhere between 700 to 800 as daily wages for a light work
