Mangaluru, Jun 22: In the early hours of June 18, around 2 AM, a suspicious incident occurred in the Bandikotya area within the Ullal police station limits. The Ullal police suspect that the same group responsible for the robbery at the home of entrepreneur Padmanabha Kotian in Ulaiyabettu, under the Mangaluru rural police station limits, might be behind this act as well.
In Bandikotya, a group of five individuals knocked on the doors of several homes, including the residence of Parashuram, a welder, and the homes of his tenants Krishna, Pushpakala, and Prem. Frightened by the loud banging, Parashuram immediately informed the Ullal police station. By the time the patrol officers arrived at the scene, the group had fled.
With the robbery at the entrepreneur's house coming to light, the police have intensified their suspicions about this group. Ullal station officer H N Balakrishna has issued a statement to the public regarding the incident.
The police have received intelligence reports indicating that a group of seven to eight unidentified individuals have been targeting isolated and locked homes in the station's jurisdiction for the past few days. Therefore, residents are advised to remain vigilant. Renting houses without proper documentation is prohibited in this area. Residents should verify and inspect before opening doors to anyone. If suspicious individuals are spotted, the Ullal station inspector can be contacted at 9480802315 or by calling 112. Inspector Balakrishna emphasized these points in his press release.
