While this might be inconvenient for some, this is highly desirable for a thorough clean up so that those actually deserving get PG admission. And that assumes that CBI and the Government takes the issue seriously and gets to the bottom of the problem and puts them behind bars.

From a lay citizen's point of view; this dillydallying on cancellation of the entire examination process and starting from scratch, is being done to suppress some very big scandal opening out, despite getting clinching evidence from multiple places, of gross malpractices in lieu of large amounts of money; very sorry state of affairs especially as it affects the future, and confidence in the sanctity of these prestigious exams, of the younger generation!! Please note that this is a very personal opinion based on information available in the public domain and my perception!!

Those hardworking students who were studying honestly got trapped. What about those who took a backdoor route to get medical admissions? They’ll do anything with money.
