Mumbai, Oct 26: First of the five musical treat in the form of tribute to Late Wilfy Rebimbus has kick-started here at Bhaidas Hall, Vile Parle (E) on Wednesday October 26.
The first wilfy nite event was organized as a part of 23rd anniversary of metro’s well-known St Peter's Association (Barkur).
The Rebimbus family consisting of Meena Wilfy, Vishwas Rebimbus, Charlin V Rebimbus and Veena Rebimbus offered a Diwali special musical bonanza to the Konkani music lovers which were thoroughly enjoyed by the audience.
Claude D’Souza, Prem, Babitha Pinto, Ivan Sequeira among other singers mesmerized the gathering and they were supported by musical instruments from Pappan and troupe’s Pitambar Padmanabhan and Joswin. Dolla and group amused the audience through mimicry and hilarious jokes. Top dance group from Mangalore enthralled the crowd with some stupendous performances.
Leslie Rego compered the show in his unique style.
Association president Simon Peter Furtado, honorary secretary Ivan Rebello, secretary Eric Coelho, treasurer Antony Dais among other office-bearers and Wilfy’s Konkai Nite’s Mumbai programme’s convenor Henry D’Silva among others were present on the occasion.
The event was witnessed by a packed audience on a Deepavali holiday.
