Mangaluru, Jun 24: To take a walk down the corridors of nostalgia ‘Ex-Sangam’, an Alumni Meet was held on June 23 at Expodium. Sridevi Bhat, alumnus of Expert and currently a scientist at ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) delivered the keynote address. She said, “Expert has instilled discipline into our system during college. This same discipline has helped us have our niche in the fast-pace workplace.”
Bhat along with Ankush N Nayak, the IT director and a first-batch alumnus, CA Ashwath Shenoy and president of Expert Alumni Association for the year 2023-24 lit the lamp along with other dignitaries principal Prof Ramachandra Bhat, core committee member, B Vinay Kumar and Radhika Nayak, senior lecturer.
Ankush N Nayak emphasized the importance of networking among the Alumni of different batches. He said, “We need to strengthen ourselves to facilitate and help the students in ever-evolving changes in the academic and professional spheres of life.” He also briefed how the alumni portal works and helps bridge the gap. Alumni were also invited to be a part of the Mentorship programme.
The new alumni council for the year 2024-25 was elected with Dr Prithvi Kamath as president, Vraj K Rabara as vice president, Sambhram Shetty as secretary, and Khushi P Bimani as joint secretary.
CA Ashwath welcomed the August gathering. Prerana M B compeered the event. Ronel Fernandes, secretary of the Expert Alumni Association delivered the vote of thanks.
