Mangaluru: Mihir Girish Kamath of Expert PU College bags AIR 16 in IISER 2024 entrance test

Mangaluru, Jun 25: Mihir Girish Kamath of Expert PU College Mangaluru has secured All India Rank (AIR) 16 in the general merit category in the entrance examination conducted by the prestigious Indian Institute of Science Education and Research this year.

The Government of India established the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) with the aim of promoting high-quality science education and research across the country. These institutes are located in Berhampur, Kolkata, Pune, Bhopal, Mohali, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tirupati.

Each IISER offers integrated undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in sciences, along with conducting advanced research in various scientific fields. They play a pivotal role in nurturing young talent and advancing science and technology in India.

Mihir Kamath has now been selected for admission to this prestigious institution.

IISER was founded with the objective of enabling students to do research in science and thereby find solutions to the challenges faced by the country in its path of progress.
