Bahrain, Jun 26: The curtains closed on The Indian Club’s annual May Queen pageant on May 31, marking the culmination of a series of dazzling events that showcased the talent and grace of 25 remarkable contestants. Divided into three captivating phases—the talent & casual round on May 17, the national costume round on May 23, and the grand finale on May 31, this year’s pageant broke records with its unprecedented participation of women aged 16 and older, a departure from traditional age restrictions.
Astral Cutinha representing Karnataka, won as May Queen 2024, and sub-title May Queen Congeniality too.
Themed around ‘Womanhood’, the pageant celebrated diversity, inviting women from diverse backgrounds and professions to shine on stage. Sponsored by BFC and African Eastern, with the enthusiastic support of MediaPro International, the event also received contributions from Diva (Chennai, India), R&B, and H&H, enhancing the grandeur of the occasion.
Amidst the festivities, Gulf Good News (GGN) provided entertainment, while Al Murshed Travel & Tourism ensured seamless travel arrangements and Barani Restaurant delighted attendees with culinary delights. The event drew an audience of over 2,000 to The Club’s open ground, creating an atmosphere filled with admiration and appreciation for the spirit of womanhood and talent on display.
