Sullia, Jun 27: A video showing a youth who had consumed alcohol being pulled and pushed by an elephant belonging to the Kukke Subramanya temple has gone viral on social media. The incident reportedly took place on June 25.
The elephant was stationed near the temple entrance to welcome deputy chief minister D K Shivakumar, who was visiting the temple on June 25. At the same time, a room boy from a local lodge, who had allegedly consumed alcohol, passed by the elephant.
The elephant pulled the man by his neck with its trunk and put him down, as seen clearly in the video.
Fortunately, the man was not hurt. It is believed that the temple elephant is averse to anyone who has consumed alcohol approaching it.
