Udupi, Jun 28: A meeting was held by Kota Srinivas Poojari, Udupi-Chikmangaluru MP, with the officials of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).
In the meeting, he urged the officials to complete the work of national highway 66 Santekatte at the earliest and instructed the officials to speed up the rock clearing operation in the underpass work area.
He asked the officials to immediately submit the proposal regarding the closure of potholes obstructing smooth vehicular movement at Santekatte along with installation of sign boards and adequate street lights and construction of service roads at necessary places as per the request of the public.
Yashpal Suvarna, MLA Udupi, Dr Vidyakumari, deputy commissioner of Udupi, officials of highway authority and department of mines were present in the meeting.
