Media Release

Udupi, Jun 29: In a remarkable feat of endurance and pride, a 6-year-old girl from Tulunadu, Isha Shetty, proudly hoisted the Tulunadu and Indian flags at Umling La Top, the world’s highest motorable road. The journey spanned from May 18 to June 2, covering over 7,000 kilometres.

The adventurous road trip started in Udupi and took Isha and her father, the dedicated duo behind this expedition, through a myriad of challenging terrains, culminating in their arrival at Umling La Top. This road, standing at an elevation of approximately 19,300 feet, is renowned for its treacherous conditions and harsh climate, making their accomplishment even more noteworthy.

The trip covered a total distance of over 7,000 kilometers, with the father-daughter duo navigating through rugged landscapes, high-altitude passes, and extreme weather conditions. Their journey stands as a testament to the incredible spirit and resilience of both young Isha and her father.

Wow, Thank you very much Daijiworld for the article about 6 year old Isha Shetty's tough and adventurous journey from Udupi to Umling La Top, this place is located near the India-China LAC (line of Actual Control). This is indeed a remarkable achievement at this age on this high and with less oxygen dry mountain area, the altitude of this place itself is more the Everest Base Camp. Thank you once again 🙏.
