Assistant registrar Arun Kumar S V honoured upon retirement from Kundapur cooperative societies

Kundapur, Jun 30: Arun Kumar S V, who served as the assistant registrar of cooperative societies in the Kundapur sub-division who retired on June 30, was honoured at a district-level felicitation ceremony held at Sahana Convention Hall, Koteshwara.

Dr M N Rajendra Kumar, president of the Dakshina Kannada District Central Cooperative Bank, who presided over the ceremony, praised Arun Kumar for his immense interest and dedication to the cooperative sector.

He remarked, “Arun Kumar's problem-solving abilities in the cooperative sector were invaluable. His dedication to the growth of cooperative societies is evident from the large turnout of cooperative members honouring him today. In my cooperative life, this is the first time I have seen such a grand felicitation for a government official.”

Arun Kumar has contributed significantly to the development of agricultural cooperative societies, various other cooperatives, and milk producers' cooperatives. He said, “All agricultural cooperative societies in Udupi district are profitable today, thanks to Arun Kumar's support.”

A Kiran Kumar Kodgi, MLA of Kundapur constituency, spoke of Arun Kumar's efficient and honest service in the cooperative department, which will always be remembered by the cooperative sector in the region. “He has set an exemplary standard for government officials,” he added.

Yashpal Suvarna, MLA of Udupi constituency, commented, “The large gathering here testifies to the impactful service of Arun Kumar. His work should guide the next generation.”

Jayakar Shetty Indrali, president of Udupi District Cooperative Union, who presided over the event, said, “Arun Kumar's career exemplifies the honor that comes with competence and honesty. His service should be emulated by future government employees. The significant turnout for his retirement ceremony reflects his dedication.”

In his acceptance speech, Arun Kumar SV expressed his satisfaction with his service in the cooperative department. He said, “As a government employee, I have contributed to the effective use and utilization of various funds in cooperative societies, facilitating the construction of buildings for agricultural and milk producers' cooperatives.”

The event saw the attendance of former Karnataka Legislative Council chairman K Prathapchandra Shetty, former MLAs B Appanna Hegde, deputy registrars of cooperative societies Lavanya KR, directors of Dakshina Kannada District Central Bank M Mahesh Hegde, Rajesh Rao, Ashok Kumar Shetty, Deviprasad Shetty, PLD Bank president Malyadi Shivaram Shetty, TAPMC president Hariprakash Shetty Kanmakki, and Cooperative Union vice president Ashok Kumar Ballal.

Arun Kumar S V and Jayalakshmi M V were grandly honored with a gold garland, memento, and a large felicitation letter. The felicitation was organized by Dr MN Rajendra Kumar on behalf of the Dakshina Kannada District Central Bank.

Raju Poojari, director of Dakshina Kannada District Central Cooperative Bank, welcomed the gathering. Prakashchandra Shetty, vice president of Dakshina Kannada Milk Producers' Union, delivered the felicitation address. Gayatri Prakash Aithal led the prayers. Vishweshwar Aithal read the felicitation letter, Uday Kumar Hattiyangadi delivered the vote of thanks, and journalist Subrahmanya Padukone compered the event.

Before the ceremony, a Yakshagana performance by young artiste Shriraksha Hegde and team was presented.
