Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Jul 7: Last night, in the Urwa police station limits, there was an attempted theft at a house on Kodikal Road. The culprits tried to enter the house by cutting the window grill of the room where the residents were sleeping.

The police are urging the public to remain vigilant. If any suspicious individuals are seen in the area or nearby, residents are requested to inform the police control room at 9480802321 or call 112.

The police also advise residents to install CCTV cameras in large numbers in homes and shops, ensuring that they cover the road and entrance pathways. Additionally, they request that these cameras be kept in good working condition and be capable of capturing clear images at night with high resolution.

Bad days now. Hear everywhere trying to enter house and theft case. Because almost everywhere people show their richness and are better living atmosphere. Best dont keep more money in houses than necessary and gold. When cameras are installed in houses, please see that they function well even electricity fails. Mostly thieves come from back door. Best have a dog in house. Nowadays houses are built with open varanda that make thieves to jump in or out easily. Better everywhere more lights on than darkness. Thieves are always alert when houses are kept closed or none is to seen.

Beware of all these salesmen and fellows disguised as saints, beggars, third gender etc roaming around in the city. They are the ones who conduct reconnaissance of areas for their gangs and then attack houses which they consider vulnerable.
