Kasargod, Jul 13: The Kasargod District Kannada Journalists Welfare Association and KUWJ Kasargod Unit will present the endowment awards and host the Kannada Cultural Festival on Saturday, July 13 at the Alliance Convention Center near HAL, Seethangoli.
During this event, Walter Nandalike, the founder and managing director of Daijiworld, will be honoured with the Centenary Freedom Fighter Former Minister Bhima Khandre Endowment Award. Renowned journalist Vishweshwar Bhat will receive the endowment award in memory of Brahmaikya Edaneeru Sri Keshavananda Bharati Swamiji, presented by Sri Math. Chetana Belagere will be awarded the Avva Seva Trust Hubballi Endowment Award, among other journalists who will receive various endowment awards.
Businessman K K Shetty and internationally renowned architect Ravindra Kumar from Bengaluru will be felicitated with civic honours.
Speaker of the Legislative Assembly U T Khader will inaugurate the event. State forest minister Eshwar Khandre will present the endowment awards. Union minister of state for animal husbandry and fisheries George Kurian will honour the achievers. Several dignitaries, including Shivananad Tagadur, president of the Karnataka Working Journalists Association, Sri Sachidananda Bharathi Swamiji of Edaneeru Math, deputy speaker M K Pranesh, and Karnataka chief minister's media advisor K V Prabhakar will also be present.
