Udupi, Jul 13: The wife of Asif, also known as Asif Apatbandava, has filed a complaint with the police accusing him of making private videos of their daughter viral on social media.

In a distressing turn of events, the daughter of the accused attempted suicide by consuming phenyl and is currently admitted to a hospital in Ajjarakad.

The daughter of Asif and the complainant woman was in a relationship with their relative Tausif from Teerthahalli, a relationship Asif did not approve of. In response, Asif called Tausif to his house and assaulted him. He then confiscated his daughter's mobile phone, transferred all her videos and photographs to his device, and made them viral on social media and various WhatsApp groups. When Asif's wife objected to his behavior, he assaulted both her and their daughter.

Asif’s wife filed a complaint with the CEN police station in Udupi. The complaint also alleges that Asif picked a quarrel at his wife’s mother’s house in Ucchila.

Asif seems a popular guy doing some social activities for the needy... Though this may be his personal life, steps taken to quench his anguish are not at all human... Young girl's modesty has been attempted to be tarnished by her own father... This is unacceptable and condemnable by all standards...

real kujuma kodial, dear kujuma ,let us not talk here about whole country or foreigners but own father .What he did is a third class work about his own daughter. No daughter will accept this or anyone.Other would have hidden the facts .He should be immediately arrrested and put behind bars for publicity of own daughters modesty and hitting wife and daughter.Shame on him .He called the boy and hit and assaulted.
