Udupi: Manipal University awards PhD to Nahima Akthar

Udupi, Jul 13: Nahima Akthar, a resident of Hoode, has been awarded a PhD degree by MAHE Manipal. Her thesis, titled 'Impact of Patient's Happiness on Perceived Service Quality and Behavioural Intentions in Adverse Services', was completed under the mentorship of Dr Smitha Nayak and Dr Yogesh Pai, professors of department of humanities and management Manipal Institute of Technology Manipal Academy of Higher Education Manipal.

Dr Nahima Akthar's journey is an inspiring one. Hailing from a very modest background, she pursued her education up to the pre-university level without electricity at home. She is the daughter of the late Abdul Gafoor and the late Rameeza.

Dr Akthar is married to Dr Affan, a well-known physician in Hoode, whose exceptional support has significantly contributed to her academic achievements.
