Kasargod: Red alert issued due to heavy rains, schools closed on July 15

Kasargod, Jul 14: Following heavy rains, district collector K Impashekhar has declared a holiday on Monday, July 15 for educational institutions with a red alert sounded for the district on Monday.

Heavy rainfall is expected within the next 24 hours, with downpours intensifying since Sunday noon.

As a precautionary measure, holiday has been declared for state board, CBSE, ICSE schools, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Anganwadi centres, and Madrasas in the district. This holiday does not extend to colleges. The collector confirmed that pre-scheduled exams will proceed as planned.
