Sullia: RSS gurupooja held in govt school, viral photo sparks complaint

Daijiworld Media Network – Sullia (MS)

Sullia, Jul 16: Allegations have surfaced that an RSS-organized gurupooja took place at a government school here. A complaint has been filed with the education department regarding the incident, and photos of the event have gone viral on social media.

It is alleged that the gurupooja was conducted by the RSS at the Karimbila Government Lower Primary School in Edamangala village, Kadaba taluk. The ceremony was held inside a classroom, with the school's name visible on the blackboard. The event became public when some participants shared photos as their WhatsApp status.

It is reported that a complaint has been filed with the education department and the deputy commissioner regarding the RSS programme held on school premises, despite a government circular prohibiting public events in government schools. An explanation has also been requested from the school's head teacher.

Heights of insensitivity. Why is this alien tradition that is completely un-Indian being followed in a place that imparts education? Gurupooja? what is that? I hope the kids did not utter Gurudevobava.

Dear Sri Mayya, when you have no way of siding with the perpetrators of this illegal activity in a government school, you resort to sarcasm. Well, you're damned by your own words.

Respect to teachers is respect to God... Nothing wrong in that... However protocols have to be followed... When we celebrate a teacher it must be an inclusive event and in a public hall instead of class room of a Govt school... School must be devoid of any religions or communal gatherings.... Young minds must evolve beyond horse eyed narrow ideas....

Boss, to allow an anti-national organization that was banned twice, it's founders ridiculed Indian constitution and flag and shouldn't be allowed to use any government facilities. A school is a temple that is for inclusive India. The RSS didn't hoist our tricolor flag till recently in their headquarters, and they have conveniently disowned MS Golwalkar and his books. If you see any RSS function, you won't see any Indian flag. They are against Indian polity and ethos and such an organization should be kept away from mainstream society.
