Bantwal, Jul 17: Senior officials from the Railway Department arrived at the Bantwal railway station on Wednesday, July 17, in the evening to conduct a thorough inspection of the ongoing development under the Amrit Bharat scheme.

Social worker Lakshminarayana Bantwal expressed concerns about this. Responding to a special request from MP Brijesh Chowta, and as suggested by Union Minister of State for Railways Somanna, a team of officials including DRM Shilpa Agarwal, Divisional GM Aravind Srivastava, and others from the South Western Railways inspected various maintenance issues and irregularities in the functioning of facilities at Bantwal railway station, including toilets and platform cleanliness.

Officials instructed prompt completion of maintenance work and emphasised stringent quality checks.

City Council member A Govind Prabhu, former MLA Ravindra Kamble, prominent personalities like Pupparaj Chaut, Charan Jumadi, and Vasant Mallya were present during the inspection.
