Udupi, Jul 18: A house collapsed due to heavy rain in Kattegudde on Thursday July 18.

The house belonged to Sharada Poojary of Kadekaru panchayat. As many as 10 people were residing in the house.

The family managed to evacuate the premises merely ten minutes before the house collapsed entirely. The house, which was 30 years old and constructed with the mud walls, succumbed to the force of the rain.

Just moments before the house collapsed, four children who were inside the room, escaped out. The toys, clothes and other documents are buried under the mud.

The family residing in the house has now shifted to a rented house in Kadekar, Udupi.
