Worker seriously injured in tyre ring explosion in Puttur

Puttur, Jul 24: A serious accident occurred near the Golikatte Mosque in Parladka on the night of July 22 when a tyre ring burst while a worker was fitting a tyre on a lorry. The incident resulted in severe injuries to the worker and also injured the driver who was present at the scene.

Rasheed, a resident of Karaya, was repairing the lorry’s punctured tyre when the inner ring suddenly and forcefully ejected. The impact threw Rasheed and the disk into a nearby wall, causing serious injuries. The driver, who was assisting with the repair, was also thrown a distance and sustained injuries.

Following the accident, Rasheed was immediately taken to Puttur government hospital and then transferred to a hospital in Mangaluru for advanced treatment due to the severity of his injuries.
