Mangaluru: Roof collapses near Kottara Chowki due to heavy rains; no casualties reported

Mangaluru, July 30: In a dramatic incident on the night of Monday, July 29, the roof of a building near Kottara Chowki collapsed from the terrace onto the road due to heavy rainfall. Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries or fatalities.

The collapse caused significant damage, affecting an electricity transformer and a car that was completely destroyed by the falling debris.

Mescom officials arrived swiftly at the scene to manage the situation and clear the debris. Traffic in the area was temporarily disrupted during the cleanup.

Authorities are currently assessing the extent of the damage and investigating the incident to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
