Byndoor: Crocodile spotted in well at Kirimanjeshwar village; rescue operations underway

Byndoor, July 30: A crocodile was sighted in a well in Nagoor on Tuesday, July 30, within the jurisdiction of Kirimanjeshwar grama panchayat, causing significant alarm among local residents.

The crocodile appeared unexpectedly in the well located at the house of Vishwanath Udupa in Nagoor village. The mere mention of a crocodile sends shivers down the spine of many, highlighting the widespread fear these creatures evoke.

The Byndoor forest department, along with the police department, fire brigade, and revenue department, has launched an operation to address the situation. They are employing nets to capture the crocodile.

With the help of local residents, the Forest Department has placed bait in the well. In addition, Nagoor Network and Security Solutions have assisted by installing CCTV cameras around the well to monitor the crocodile’s movements remotely.

To facilitate the crocodile’s capture, the well’s parapet has been leveled, and chicken meat has been placed as bait. The department personnel are working diligently to capture the crocodile.

As news of the crocodile spread, thousands of people have flocked to the site to see it. In response, the police department has implemented strict security measures to control the crowd. CCTV cameras are continuously monitoring the crocodile’s movements to aid in its capture.
