New Delhi, Nov 6 (IANS): Seven years after the release of Salman Khan starrer "Garv", actor-director Puneet Issar has wielded the megaphone once again for "I Am Singh", which deals with discrimination and racism faced by Indians abroad.
Known for his portrayal of Duryodhan in B.R. Chopra's TV epic "Mahabharat", Puneet has not only directed "I Am Singh", but has also written it.
The film is about young, confident and intelligent Sikh boy Ranveer. His elder brothers, Balbir Singh and Vikram Singh, are US citizens and run a restaurant there. Ranveer's parents leave for a holiday to the US to meet their sons, but Ranveer doesn't join them.
The story takes a turn when Ranveer receives a call from his mother and he comes to know that his brother Vikram is dead, his father is seriously injured and his elder brother Balbir is missing.
The cast of the film also includes Gulzar Chahal, Rizwan Haider, Tulip Joshi, Brooke Johnston and Amy Rasimas.
Keeping up with the backdrop of the film, the music album is an interesting mix of songs by Daler Mehendi, Sukhwinder Singh, Mika Singh, Monty Sharma, Sudhakar Dutt Sharma, Arvinder Singh and Sumitra Iyer.
"The album is an interesting mix of music - there is a ghazal track by Rahet Fateh Ali Khan, Daler's song is larger than life and there's a romantic track too. This is what I call a complete package," said Puneet.
