Mangaluru: Heavy rains submerge multiple areas, officials take action

Mangaluru, Aug 1: Continuous heavy rains in Mangaluru have affected many areas.

Kulur, Bajpe, Adhyapady, Ulaibettu, and Padushedde have been severely impacted, with several houses submerged. The district administration and concerned officials have taken measures to relocate residents.

Deputy commissioner Mullai Muhilan, assistant commissioner Harshvardhan, and Mangaluru City Corporation commissioner Dr Anand visited and inspected the rain-affected areas.

The deputy commissioner also warned the public and children not to venture into the water, noting that many people were taking their children to view the flooded areas. He urged everyone to stay indoors.
