Los Angeles, Nov 8: Late popstar Michael Jackson's doctor Conrad Murrey has been held guilty of 'involuntary manslaughter' pertaining to the death of the star in 2009, bringing an end to the six-week long trial.
After he was declared guilty, a few minutes later, Murrey was handcuffed while fans outside the Superior Court erupted in joy.
Murray faces up to four years in jail and could be banned from practicing medicine after his conviction in connection with Jackson's death from an overdose of propofol on June 25, 2009.
Murray himself gave no reaction when the long-awaited verdict was announced inside the packed courtroom after judge Michael Pastor remanded him in custody pending a November 29 sentencing hearing.
Jackson's family members including his mother Katherine and father Joe, siblings Randy, Jermaine, Rebbie and La Toya were in court. His mother was hugged by Randy and appeared to cry into a tissue, after the verdict was announced.
