Mysuru, Aug 3: With neighbouring Kerala state suffering large-scale devastation due to landslides and floods in Wayanad region, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has informed his Kerala counterpart Pinarayi Vijayan that Karnataka will construct houses for 100 families, who lost their dwellings.
“Together we will rebuild and restore hope. Karnataka stands in solidarity with Kerala in its sufferings,” Siddaramaiah has said in a post on X platform.
Earlier in the morning, the Chief Minister held a breakfast meeting with the Mysuru, Madikeri and Chamarajanagar district Congress legislators, ministers and party leaders in his residence.
Siddaramaiah later visited the Apollo Hospital in Mysuru and inquired about the health of former Husur MLA Hunsur Manjunath’s father Prem Kumar, who has been hospitalised.
