No trains to Bengaluru from Mangaluru till Aug 8

Mangaluru, Aug 6: Train services between Mangaluru and Bengaluru which are suspended due to landslide at Donigal between Edakumeri and Kadagaravalli near Sakleshpur, will resume only after August 8 as per information given by Mysuru railway division.

The services of 12 trains between the coastal and capital cities of Karnataka was suspended on July 27 as the track got affected due to landslide.

The railway officials said, “Work of retainer wall construction beside the affected spot is going on at war footing pace. The work of conditioning the track is almost complete. Goods trains are run on the repaired track on experimental basis. However, for passenger train more safety measures are being checked. So there will not be any train service between Mangaluru and Bengaluru till August 8.”
