Udupi: Tourist bus operator rescues injured auto driver after truck collision, takes him to hospital

Udupi, Aug 13: An auto driver suffered severe injuries in an accident involving a Mahindra pickup truck filled with gas cylinders near Ashirwad Junction, Santhekatte, Udupi, on Tuesday, August 13.

The driver sustained critical injuries to his head, hands, and legs.

Despite the seriousness of the accident, no one had stepped forward to transport the injured man to a hospital.

However, Burhan Malpe, the driver of the Mangaluru-based Brothers Tourist (TMT) bus, and Naveen from Hanuman Nagar, who were traveling towards Udupi, stopped their bus upon seeing the accident.

Moved by the sight of the bleeding and critically injured individual, Burhan and Naveen took immediate action. They transported the injured driver to the District Hospital Ajjarakadu, Udupi, using their tourist bus, demonstrating remarkable humanity and quick thinking.
