United Kambad conducts Octagon Super League Season 1

Abu Dhabi, Aug 14: The members of United Kambad witnessed yet another successful event held on June 30. The event was named Octagon Super League Season 1. This event attracted more youngsters since it was an indoor cricket tournament organised by working committee of United Kambad from Abu Dhabi region.

There was arrangement of lunch and finally the vent concluded with prize distribution by special guests. The event was held in Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Arab Pakistan School indoor stadium which is located on the Muroor road, Abu Dhabi. As most of the events are usually conducted in Dubai, the very purpose of organizing in Abu Dhabi was to grab the attention of many youth, especially those working in Abu Dhabi region and to create awareness of the committee activities.

One of the motives of the event was to enlighten the youth to cultivate healthy lifestyle and focus more on sports related activities. The highlight mainly was the enthusiastic involvement of many senior members bringing back the memories of their game at prime.

The tournament was played in true spirit of the game and 90 members participated in it. There were a total of 8 teams and each team was divided proportionately with youth and experienced players.

Kheleej Jawans headed by the local Saleem Baji emerged victorious followed by Sharjah Cobra as
runners up.
