Mangaluru, Aug 15: The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Hayat-ul-Islam Badriya Jumma Masjid and Madarasa in Edurupadavu, Moodushedde.

The flag hoisting ceremony was led by Maiyyaddi, the president of the masjid and madarasa, along with former president Haji Muhammad Hanif and Khateeb Safwan Irfani Mondoole, among other dignitaries.

The event saw the participation of several prominent figures, including Mansoor, the vice president of the masjid and madarasa, Jamaluddin, the secretary, Mustafa A K M, the treasurer, and Sadar Ustad Zubair Yamani Jokatte.

The celebration was marked by a sense of unity and patriotism as the community gathered to honour the nation's independence.
