Mangaluru: 78th Independence Day celebrations held at Valencia Church

Mangaluru, Aug 15: The Church of St Vincent Ferrer, Valencia celebrated India's 78th Indian Independence at the church grounds on Thursday. 

The day began with a holy mass which was celebrated by assistant parish priest Fr Pradeep Rodrigues along with Fr William Barrocas.

The flag hoisting ceremony was held after the mass. The flag was hoisted by asst parish priest Fr Pradeep Rodrigues.

Fr Roque D'Sa parish priest, parish council vice-president Ronald Rodrigues, secretary Rita Menezes, 21 commissions coordinator Steevan Rodrigues and parishioners were present during the programme. 

Patriotic songs and national anthem were sung by ICYM members. Preetha Miranda compered the programme.
