Private bus overturns near Bantwal, over 10 passengers seriously injured

Bantwal, Aug 16: In a tragic incident, a private bus overturned near the 10th milestone on the national highway close to Farangipete, resulting in serious injuries to more than ten passengers.

The bus, which was traveling from Bengaluru to Mangaluru, overturned at the 10th milestone near Farangipete. The exact cause of the accident is yet to be determined, but local residents suspect either the driver's excessive speed or a technical fault in the vehicle might have led to the mishap.

The identities of the injured passengers have not yet been released. All injured individuals have been admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru for treatment.

Local youth displayed commendable humanity by swiftly transporting the injured to the hospital. Bantwal traffic police visited the scene and are conducting further investigations.

    i really get scared when i see airavat buses on our roads..i feel they will overturn anytime with the kind of unscientific condition of roads as well as sharp bends and most of the time night time drivers will have a small pitki before sitting on the steering....
