Bantwal, Aug 23: In connection with the robbery at the house of Padmanabha Kotyan in Ulaibettu, under the jurisdiction of Mangaluru Rural Police Station, several suspects have been arrested. However, the cash and gold jewelry stolen during the robbery have not been recovered. Additionally, the main suspects who are believed to be in possession of the stolen items have not yet been apprehended.

This case, which has caused widespread concern among the district’s residents, led a delegation of the Dakshina Kannada Murthedar Mahamandala, under the leadership of its president, K Sanjeev Poojary, to meet the Mangaluru City Police Commissioner to demand the arrest of the prime suspects and the recovery of the stolen goods.

The incident took place on June 21, when 12 masked individuals illegally entered the house of Padmanabha Kotyan, tied up the family members, assaulted them, and looted cash and valuable items. The robbers also forcibly took the car keys and drove the car away, abandoning it halfway. Although several suspects have been arrested since the incident, the stolen items have not been recovered, and the main accused are still at large. Padmanabha Kotyan is a director of the Murthedar Mahamandala, and the delegation's memorandum urged the police to recover the looted property and return it to its rightful owners.

The delegation included president Sanjeev Poojary, vice president Rajesh Suvarna, directors R C Narayan, Vishwanath B Vijay Kumar Sorakev, Ganesh Mooda Perara, Shivappa Suvarna, and CIO Kishore Kumar.
