Los Angeles, Aug 25 (IANS): Singer-songwriter Katy Perry, who is known for songs such as ‘California Gurls’, ‘Chained to the Rhythm’, ‘Roar’ and others, recently made a bold statement through her dress and her words on social media.
The singer recently took to her Instagram, and shared a carousel of pictures and videos in which she could be seen pulling off an unconventional outfit with a skirt above the hip length. The pictures and videos seem to be from her recent gig in West Hollywood, California.
She wrote in the caption, “They say I do it for the male gaze but the truth is I do it for the MALE GAYSSSS. Thank you @evitaparty for hosting a fabulous party last night 143. I love you”.
Fans took to the comments section of her post and heaped praise on her.

Recently, the singer-songwriter came under the scanner of the Spanish government after it was alleged that the music video of her song ‘Lifetimes’ was filmed at a restricted location in Spain. A government agency in Spain claimed that the production company behind the song did not have clearance to film on location.
