Sullia, Aug 26: An auto-rickshaw driver had a miraculous escape after his vehicle plunged off Kukchumbala bridge in Aletty village.

Venugopala Devamoole, the driver, narrowly avoided serious injury. The accident occurred while he was returning to Peraje after dropping off a passenger in Devamoole.

The auto-rickshaw was badly damaged in the fall, and efforts are underway to retrieve it from the base of the bridge.

Fortunately, due to the low water level, a major tragedy was averted.
