Justin Timberlake performs in Cologne despite ‘messed up’ neck


Los Angeles, Aug 26 (IANS): Hollywood multi-hyphenate Justin Timberlake, who wasn’t really sure of performing his latest gig in Cologne due to his neck issues, impressed the festival-goers and the netizens in equal measure.

On Monday, Justin took to his Instagram, and shared a video of himself running to the stage as he powered through to bring an immensely entertaining gig to the audience. In the video, he could be seen sprinting to stage. After his performance, he again ran with the same intensity.

He wrote in the caption, “24 hours ago, I wasn’t sure if I could do the show tonight. My neck was messed up, but powered through…and Cologne, you came out for a SHOW. Thank you all for the energy. Let’s do it again tomorrow?”.

Justin performed at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany.

As he put up his video on social media, netizens were amazed at his ability to sprint and immediately perform afterwards on the stage. He also shared an Instagram Story in which he could be seen exercising his neck.

One user wrote, “So you’re just gonna SPRINT like that. Then go sing!?? Ok boss. Amazing”.

Another wrote, “New Olympic sport. I definitely would’ve ate it running up those stairs”.

A third user wrote, “Only legends can pull through”.

Another wrote, “You and the Tennessee kids have shown incredible energy and stamina on this tour. Hope everyone remembers to take care of yourselves and do what you have to do to feel at your best night after night. Praying your neck will feel much better tomorrow”.

Justin, who is considered the Prince of Pop, is regarded as one of the most influential entertainers of his generation. Timberlake is recognized as the best performing Pop Airplay male solo artist of all time by Billboard and remains one of the best-selling recording artists of all time, with sales of over 117 million records worldwide.
