Kasargod: Bike rider killed in collision with KSRTC bus

Kasargod, Aug 26: A tragic accident occurred on Sunday night at Padannakaad, under the limits of Hosadurga, where a software engineer lost his life in a collision between his bike and a KSRTC bus. The victim, identified as P Sreenesh (39), a resident of Bedadka Thekkekare, was killed instantly after being run over by a private bus following the initial collision.

The accident took place on the Padannakaad flyover. Sreenesh, who was employed as an engineer at a private company in Kanhangad, was traveling towards Bedadka from Kannur when his bike was struck by the KSRTC bus. The impact threw Sreenesh off his bike, and a private bus, which was passing by, ran over him, leading to his immediate death.

The mortal remains have been kept at the district hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
