Coming Soon: Arjun Kapikad's Debut Tulu Movie 'Telikeda Bolli'

Mumbai, Nov 15: Tulu actor, director and writer Devdas Kapikad is all set to launch his son Arjun Devdas Kapikad on the silver screen with his movie 'Telikeda Bolli'. The Tulu theatre lovers worldwide know Devdas Kapikad as 'Telikeda Bolli' for his acting skills and contribution to Tulu theatre.
Arjun Kapikad's entry into movies was disclosed here at Dr Vishwesharya auditorium, Matunga on November 15 during the staging of his early morning show of 'Badukuna Saadi' Tulu play as part of his ongoing Mumbai tour.
The event also marked the 26th anniversary of 'Cha Parka' team.
"The new Tulu movie 'Telikeda Bolli' will see its muhurtam soon in Mangalore with Arjun as its lead role. More details will be disclosed in the coming days. The movie will be produced and directed by Devdas Kapikad himself," it was announced.
Speaking on the occasion, Devdas Kapikad said that the support of native Tulu audience is vital for his venture. The richness of Tulu fosters community bond, he said, and thanked the audience for gathering in large numbers in the wee hours of Tuesday for his show.
Vastu expert Ashok Purohit presided over the felicitation programme.
Ashok Purohit in his presidential address said that Tulu natives are honest, and are known for persistent efforts that help them achieve their goals in life. He conveyed his best wishes to Devdas Kapikad in his new venture.
S N Udupa, chief priest of Umamaheshwari temple, Jerimeri and astrologer Harish Shanti graced the occasion.
Hoteliers Aikala Gunapal Shetty and Yashwant Shetty Bannanje, Nationalist Congress Party youth leader Kalattoor Vishwanat Shetty, Navi Mumbai Friends president B K Kalaboli, Meera – Dahanu Bunts youth wing president Suresh Shetty Gandarva, Nalin Shetty, entrepreneur Ravi Shetty Kilpady Bandasale were the chief guests of the occasion.
Mr World Raymond D'Souza was felicitated by the dignitaries. He presented a bodybuilding show on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, he said that Tulu binds different communities of the undivided Dakshina Kannada. He also conveyed every success to Devdas Kapikad and described him as the prince of Tulunadu.
Devdas and Sharmila Kapikad and the entire Cha Parka troupe were also honored during the programme.
