Sullia, Aug 30: Moderate rains fell across the taluk throughout Thursday. In the morning, a large branch of a banyan tree fell on the road in the Kollamogru town area, causing a traffic blockage.
Local residents and forest department personnel promptly cleared the branch, allowing traffic to resume.
Sullia experienced heavy rainfall on Wednesday night and Thursday morning, followed by intermittent showers throughout the day in various parts of the taluk, including the town area.
