MP based security guard arrested for allegedly molesting minor girl in Pilerne

Panaji, Sep 6: A 52-year-old security guard has been arrested by Porvorim police for allegedly molesting a 10-year-old girl in Pilerne, Candolim. The arrest followed a complaint filed by the victim's mother, accusing the guard, identified as Jalam Mahor from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, of inappropriate behavior.

The incident occurred on September 4, around 9 pm, near a villa in Pilerne. The mother alleged that Mahor molested her daughter by touching her inappropriately.

Acting swiftly, the Porvorim police registered an FIR, detained Mahor, and later arrested him.

He has been charged under the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, the POCSO Act, and relevant sections of the Goa Children's Act. Investigation is ongoing.
