Mumbai, Sep 9: The much-anticipated trailer of the Hindi feature film ‘A Real Encounter’ was launched with great enthusiasm at IMPPA House in Mumbai in the presence of Mushtaq Khan, Himaayat Ali, and Anil Nagrath.
The film is produced under the banner of MacNeil Engineering Limited by Pradip Churiwal, with Sabir Shaikh directing the project. The line producer is Prasenjit Chakraborty, and distribution is handled by Balakrishna Srivastav of Aone Cine Creations. Shahbaz Khan plays the role of an encounter specialist.
The film features a stellar cast, including Shahbaz Khan, Ehsan Khan, Mushtaq Khan, Raza Murad, Ali Khan, Himaayat Alam Ali, Akhilesh Verma, Bratuti Ganguly, Anil Nagrath, Rakesh Pujara, Sangeeta Singh, Rishikesh Tiwari, Amrit Dujari, and Kaleem Akhtar. The trailer has received a fantastic response, with impactful dialogues. One standout line is, "No one knows who will conduct whose encounter next." Raza Murad’s powerful dialogue, "This encounter is fake," also leaves a strong impression.
The film revolves around the story of a girl named Muskaan and her controversial encounter. Was Muskaan innocent? That’s something audiences will have to discover by watching the film.
In addition to Hindi, ‘A Real Encounter’ will also be released in Gujarati. Director Sabir Shaikh shared that the backdrop of the film is based in Gujarat, and the story is inspired by a real-life encounter that took place in the state. The film includes a courtroom drama, but it’s distinct from Jolly LLB. It explores the situations faced by policemen who carry out encounters, showing that they often operate under orders and face tremendous pressure from their seniors. The film also features an item song.
When asked about the social message in the film, the director emphasized that parents should be aware of their children’s activities and who they associate with. It is crucial for them to ensure their children are not being led astray, he said.
Mushtaq Khan, known for his role in Welcome, expressed his joy about the film’s release. He congratulated Sabir Sheikh, praising his smooth direction. Khan, who plays the emotional role of the heroine’s father in the movie, said that such roles are rare for him, as he is usually cast in comedy or authoritative roles like police officers. He added that the film delivers a strong message about the importance of parental supervision.
Anil Nagrath, who portrays a political leader in the film, remarked that it was an interesting role to play. He said politics is like a game, where sometimes one must stop someone’s vehicle, and other times one must help someone move forward. He believes audiences will enjoy the film’s realistic portrayal. ‘A Real Encounter’ is set to release across India on October 25.
