Bantwal: Theft accused evading court for 4 years arrested

Bantwal, Sep 22: City police successfully arrested an accused who had served a prison sentence in a theft case, was released on bail, and evaded court appearances for over four years.

Ummar Faruq, a resident of Sajipa Perva, is the accused arrested by the police. He was the main accused in a theft case under the jurisdiction of the city police station in 2020 and was imprisoned. However, after being released on bail, he went into hiding.

Acting on a definite tip-off, a police team led by Bantwal police inspector Anant Padmanabha arrested him at BC Road. Ummar has 22 cases filed against him across Bantwal rural, Vittal, Uppinangady, Kadaba, Konaje, Bajpe, Barke, and Mangaluru rural police stations.

He was produced before the court by the police.

    kisi ko baksha nahin jaayega...this fellow enjoyed under nagpur gulam regime by giving 40 percent of loot to khaki and local mla...but now he cannot run away from the iron hands of Lord Sidda police
