Mangaluru, Sep 23: Kick-start the New Year with an unforgettable night of music, laughter, and dance as Konkani music legend Sangeeth Sardar- Wilson Olivera brings his 56th musical show to life on January 1, 2025, at the Bondel church grounds. This highly anticipated event, starting at 6 pm, is a charity show in aid of the St Lawrence Church & Shrine, Bondel renovation project.

 

Known for his heart-touching lyrics and captivating voice, Wilson Olivera, a shining star in the Konkani music galaxy, promises to light up the night with his sensational performance. His past shows, known as ‘Wilson Olivera Nites’, have consistently drawn full houses, thanks to their powerful melodies and high-energy performances. With eight hit music albums and the soundtrack for the acclaimed Konkani movie Noshibacho Khell to his credit, Olivera has won the hearts of Konkani music lovers around the world, from Mangaluru and Mumbai to Dubai and beyond.

Expect 16 melodies from Wilson Olivera’s popular and latest compositions, along with rib tickling comedy skits and energetic dance performances. The event promises a complete entertainment package, leaving the audience both mesmerized and with a belly full of laughter.

Meet the Stellar Line-Up

Ronald Olivera is a distinguished master of ceremonies, fluent in five languages - English, Konkani, Hindi, Kannada, and Tulu. He has hosted major Konkani Nites of almost all popular Mangalurean composers, like Wilfy Rebimbus, Henry D’Souza, Melwyn Peris, Wilson Olivera, Claud D’Souza, Mic Max, Maxim Perira, Lancy Moras and Goan Nightingale Lorna. Ronald has also anchored events for other Indian artistes such as Kottayam Nazir, Nadarsha and S Janaki, as well as many international events, of which many broadcast on live TV.
As a leading corporate trainer in the Middle East, he has coached over 5000 youngsters and corporate employees in public speaking and leadership.

Roshan D’Souza- Angelore, the musical genius behind the scores of the Konkani films Noshibacho Khell and Payan, has directed music for over 200 Konkani music albums and orchestrated more than 100 Konkani musical shows. Known for his signature symphonic style, he will blend Wilson Olivera's compositions with his unique symphonies for a night to remember. In recognition of his contributions, he was honored with the prestigious Kalakar Puroskar Award in 2014, instituted by Mandd Sobhann and sponsored by Carvalho Ghorannem. A young and innovative music composer, Roshan has introduced a new trend in Konkani music world that resonates strongly with the youth and is being embraced by emerging composers. A highly sought-after music arranger, accomplished guitarist, singer, and dedicated music teacher, his work continues to shape and influence the Konkani music landscape.

A galaxy of vocal stars including Ashwin D’Costa, Pradeep Pinto, Prashant Pinto, Joseph Mathias, Stuart Olivera, Velita Lobo, Zeena Pereira and Shilpa Cutinha will lift the evening with their harmonious voices, accompanied by backing vocals from the talented group Off-Pitch, Mangaluru.

Prepare for a laughter riot as Stephen Machado, Lancy Rodrigues, Lucy Aranha, Anil Menezes, and Rennie Menezes — the well-loved Kuwait Express group—deliver rib-tickling humour that will have one rolling in his seats.

The event which acts as a fundraiser for the renovation of the Bondel church will also showcase the proposed plan of the to-be renovated church during the course of the fun-filled evening.
