Moodbidri, Sep 24: The historic entrance of Moodbidri palace suffered partial damage due to the negligence of a truck driver.

A Tamil Nadu-registered truck collided with the gate, causing partial damage to the monument. Police department officials visited the site to conduct an inspection.

A case has been registered against the truck driver at Moodbidri police station.

The Moodbidri palace, with a 700-year-old history, is under the ownership of the Chowta dynasty, a Jain family heritage.
