Mumbai, Nov 24 (IANS): John Abraham has been city hopping, giving interviews and making an appearance on TV shows to promote his film "Desi Boyz", which is releasing Friday, and says he has understood that the first three-day collection of a new film depends upon the marketing.
"My thinking has always been that if a film is good, it will work. But I have been educated about this through the promotions of 'RA.One' and 'Rockstar' that the first three days of a film are very important. So, we have tried to promote 'Desi Boyz'," said John.
"I promoted 'Force' too, but not the way I have promoted this one," said John, who mixed with fans and danced in a Dubai nightclub to spread the word about "Desi Boyz".
The film also features Akshay, Chitrangada Singh and Deepika Padukone and has been helmed by first-time director Rohit Dhawan.
Post "Desi Boyz", the 38-year-old will be seen in "Housefull 2" and "Race 2".
