Lucknow, Nov 24: Leader of opposition and Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Shivpal Yadav held a courtesy meeting with diplomatic staff of Singapore at party headquarters on Wednesday.
Interestingly, Shivpal poured his woe out lamenting about the deteriorating law and order situation and constitutional break-down in the state. "The present Chief Minister (CM) Mayawati does not have any regard for the democratic set-up and has passed the split UP motion. It is unconstitutional and we are opposing it," said Shivpal to a bemused delegation of Singapore high commission.
The delegation comprised of Minister Counsellor Johnthan Taa and First Political Secretary Adrain Lee. Both of them listened to the SP leader who used the chance to highlight the misdeeds of Mayawati regime.
"In the coming election in 2012 we are coming to power with absolute majority. We will do justice to all, farmers, traders and other sections. Law and order will be spruced up," said Shivpal.
Later, SP official spokesperson, Rajendra Choudhary claimed that the Singaporean delegation was convinced and has given their good wishes for the eleciton and assured to return for next meeting after 2012 elections.
