Udupi: Dr TMA Pai Hospital to hold free healthy aging awareness, screening programme on Sep 30

Udupi, Sep 27: The Dr TMA Pai Hospital, Udupi, in collaboration with the centre for studies on healthy aging and the Manipal College of health professions, announces a significant initiative for the senior community. A free healthy aging screening camp for older adults, aged 60 and above, will be hosted on the September 30 and October 1 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, at the 3rd Floor of Dr TMA Pai Hospital, Udupi.

This programme offers comprehensive health screening services covering vision and hearing tests, memory and mental health evaluations, balance and fall risk screening, diabetic foot screening, and functional ability assessments.

Dr Shashikiran Umakanth, the medical superintendent of Dr TMA Pai Hospital, and Dr Arun G Maiya, dean of the Manipal College of Health Professions and Dr Sebestina Anita D’Souza, coordinator, centre for studies on healthy aging, MAHE have highlighted the importance of this initiative: “As we age, maintaining health becomes paramount. This program is not just about screenings; it's an opportunity to educate and empower our seniors to embrace a healthier lifestyle. We invite all eligible individuals to take advantage of these valuable services.”
