Udupi, Oct 2: Raju Poojary from Byndoor has been selected as the Congress candidate for the upcoming MLC by-election in the Dakshina Kannada local authorities constituency. This by-election is taking place following the vacancy created as Kota Srinivas Poojary assumed his role as  Member of Parliament.

Poojary is a well-known leader within the Udupi Congress, having held various significant positions in the party.

He also served as a Zilla Panchayat member for an extended period. His extensive experience and leadership within the party are expected to play a crucial role as Congress aims to secure this important seat.
