Udupi: Trinity Central School celebrates Gandhi Jayanthi

Udupi, Oct 4: Trinity Central School, Perampalli celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with great delight and held shramdaan, hosted by scouts and guides students at Trinitorium on October 2.

The ceremony commenced with the showering of flower petals to the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi by the principal, Fr Dominic Sunil Lobo, vice-principal, administrator Fr Ravi Rajesh Serrao, coordinator Magdalena Lewis, section heads, teachers and students. It was followed by the lighting of lamps to symbolize enlightenment and respect for this great leader.

On this occasion principal Fr Dominic Sunil Lobo spoke about Gandhian principles and importance of the day.

Students and teachers from scouts, guides, cubs, bulbuls led the gathering in all-faith prayer.

During the programme Saanchi of grade 5 spoke about the importance of Gandhi Jayanthi. Scouts and guides students compered the programme.

On this occasion students along with the teachers joined their hands in cleaning the surroundings. This serene act set the tone for the day’s celebrations, imbued with a spirit of unity, truthfulness, and love for the environment.
